A fully licensed Real Estate Agent and a member of the REIQ, Linda Johnston chose to begin her real estate career in the western suburbs of Brisbane in 1991, after enjoying and succeeding at other quite diverse careers. Perhaps this has enabled her to relate to and empathise so well with the wide cross section of people she now meets on a daily basis.
Her first career spanning 10 years was in Microbiology and Biochemistry as a medical Laboratory Scientist. During this time she married her husband Ranald and with their two daughters, Rachael and Karen, spent 18 months living in the U.K. She was involved with Ranald in their own manufacturing businesses before finally taking up the real estate challenge and making her passion her new career.
Over the years Linda has played a great deal of competitive badminton and enjoyed yachting with her family. As her girls grew up she supported and encouraged them in their interests. (Rachael studied medicine and Karen studied Occupational Therapy.) Over the years Ranald and Linda have built and renovated many homes.
From this diversity of experience has come Linda’s strengths, especially the ability to earn people’s trust, to understand the great financial responsibility of this profession and to look after people with genuine interest and care. During her career in Real Estate Linda has been numbered amongst the top 5% of the industry, winning many awards, including having been listed in the top 100 sales people for RE/MAX internationally (a group of 9,300+ sales people) and being included in the RE/MAX Hall of Fame.
Linda has always endeavoured to differentiate herself and her business by offering unexpected levels of modern communications and service. Her weekly email, “Property News” reaching approximately 1000 clients is an exceptional service and her website southwestproperty.com.au offers plenty to interest buyers, sellers and property owners who enjoy keeping up-to-date with real estate matters.
These days the main part of Linda’s business comes from previous clients and referrals – the best testimonial of all. Around the local area there can often be seen a familiar sign on a property – “LINDA DID IT AGAIN”! |
